Section 1 Dive Route Setup

Teach Dive after receiving HM08 from Steven. From Mossdeep, surf south through Routes 127 and 128, then use Dive on Route 128 to search for the underwater entrance to the Seafloor Cavern.

Section 2 Seafloor Cavern

The Seafloor Cavern requires Strength and Rock Smash. The boulder puzzles are the main friction point, so bring the correct HM users before entering.

Section 3 Final Maxie Or Archie Battle

At the deepest point, Ruby players battle Maxie and Sapphire players battle Archie.

Section 4 Sootopolis City

Go to Sootopolis City after the weather crisis begins. If you have not visited before, enter through the underwater route: Dive outside the white rock ring, surface inside the city, and heal.

Section 5 Cave Of Origin

Pick up HM07 Waterfall inside the Cave of Origin. You cannot use Waterfall outside battle until Wallace is defeated, but you need the HM for the final route to the Pokemon League.

Section 6 Gym Strategy - Wallace, The Water Leader

Wallace uses Luvdisc Lv. 40, Whiscash Lv. 42, Sealeo Lv. 40, Seaking Lv. 42, and Milotic Lv.
