Who runs this site
Pokedex Generator is built and maintained by Damodar Sharma, who publishes it through Gacha King LLC, a small independent company. Damodar builds the tools and publishes the guides, walkthroughs, and tournament pages. He also makes gaming content as GachaKingTV on X , TikTok , Twitch , and Instagram .
The site started as a team randomizer that respected which Pokémon each game can actually catch, and grew into a reference for planning runs: Nuzlockes, replays of old favorites, and competitive teams.
What is different here
- Walkthroughs built from the games themselves. The walkthroughs cover the main series from Red/Blue to X/Y. Ten of them, from Red/Blue to Black 2/White 2, take their encounter rates, trainer teams, and item locations from the games' own data files, through the pret disassembly projects and PokeAPI, instead of retyping other guides. That is why their tables can show time-of-day rates, rematch levels, and version differences row by row.
- Tools that know which game you are playing. The Team Randomizer only rolls Pokémon your chosen game can obtain, and Team Analysis, the Stat Calculator, and the Showdown Builder help you check a team before you commit to it.
- Tournament teams in one place. The VGC page tracks top-cut teams from Regionals, Internationals, and community Challenges since early 2026, and is updated after each weekend's results are published.
- Daily puzzles. Guess That Pokémon and Pokémon Sudoku publish a new board every day.
- Guides written for players. The guides and rankings cover Nuzlocke rules, VGC formats, and competitive basics, with data-driven articles built from the site's own Pokédex and tournament data.
Accuracy and corrections
Walkthrough pages link to their data sources, and the Methodology and Sources pages explain how each kind of page is put together. Confirmed errors are fixed in the underlying data, so every page that uses it is corrected at once. To report a problem, use the contact page.
How the site is funded
Pokedex Generator is free to use. It is supported by advertising, by a small number of clearly labelled eBay affiliate links, and by sales of the Pokémon Streamer Tool, an OBS overlay for showing a run's team and progress on stream. Guides and rankings are not sponsored.

This is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon names, characters, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
